The 59-year-old was wanted under a wanted notice for violating a court order. The police obtained information that the man was renting an apartment in one of the multi-family buildings in Jelenia Góra. At around 8:00 p.m., they knocked on his door. They knew that the wanted man was inside the apartment, where there were also two dangerous dogs.
The 59-year-old did not intend to let the police officers in and did not respond to the knocking. The officers asked firefighters for help; they entered through a window and let them into the apartment. Fortunately, the animals were not aggressive, and the officers began searching for the 59-year-old. It turned out that the man had hidden from them in… the bathroom.
The 59-year-old wanted man was taken to pre-trial detention.
