On July 12, a courier from one of the companies arrived at a block where the parcel’s addressee was believed to live. He took the package and headed toward the apartment to which it was supposed to be delivered. In front of the entrance, he encountered two men. They stated that the ordered goods belonged to them. Without checking the fraudsters’ identities, the courier handed over the package after confirming its receipt and drove away.

Several minutes later, a woman called the courier to ask about the shipment, which she was still waiting for. The delivery driver said that her husband had already collected the parcel. But when the caller informed him that she was absolutely certain that no one from her family had collected the shipment from him, he realized that he had been deceived and notified the police.

The officers arrested two men aged 34 and 39. Both are residents of Lubin. They had already sold the property that did not belong to them. The fraudsters arrested by police now face up to 8 years in prison.
