The organizers of the Glinoludów parade have one price for their home town – PLN 45,000. It turns out that the substantial fee for the Glinoludów procession during one afternoon of the Ceramic Festival is not open to negotiation. Anyone intending to discuss the costs is immediately attacked in an offensive manner.

This is precisely what the ceramic artists and the director of BOK-MCC experienced at a meeting with the organizers of Gliniada; she had to patiently listen to all the vulgar remarks.

As is known, BOK-MCC declared that it would pay PLN 15,000 into the Gliniada organizers' account. The Ceramic Brotherhood was considering financially supporting the event, in which Bolesławiec residents had been involved for years. They wanted to discuss what the money would be spent on and were considering negotiating the price.

Gliniada has been organized for a year by a private businessman from the tourism industry. Gliniada is substantial advertising for him. Unfortunately, at the Brotherhood's meeting it was not possible to establish any dialogue with him at all.

“For PLN 15,000, you can organize the parade privately,” the event organizer replied at the meeting, adding that everyone had to earn something from Gliniada. “That is why, in this sum of PLN 45,000, if I skim a few thousand zlotys for myself, which I will immediately spend on costumes and machines, it is a huge fortune that I possess; that is the cost of the event,” the Gliniada organizer explained. The entire statement was incoherent and full of invectives directed at the director of BOK-MCC.

There will once again be no Gliniada in Bolesławiec this year. Last year, the organizer staged a spiteful and unpleasantly toned black parade. He organized it with private funds. What will he do this year for the Ceramic Festival? We do not know. There is probably no point in expecting a White Gliniada...
