At the meeting, led by periodical editor Edmund Maliński, the authors of the texts, contributors, subjects of the articles, and the families and friends of people commemorated in the publication took part. They received free copies of the publication and symbolic roses, which were presented by City Secretary Jerzy Zieliński and Anna Bober Tubaj, director of the Museum of Ceramics and a member of the editorial team. During the meeting, longtime contributor and author of many texts in the publication Jan Paździora said farewell to the Yearbook’s editorial team.
This year’s edition of the Bolesławiec Yearbook is 208 pages long. It contains 51 articles on diverse topics, as well as a chronicle with brief information about the most important sporting, cultural, political and other events that took place in the past year in the city and Bolesławiec County, or in which Bolesławiec residents took part.
Section I contains texts resulting from research into the history of Bolesławiec. Section II is devoted to articles on local topics. Section III is entitled “Announcements,” and Section IV “Bolesławiec Creativity.” Section V, “In Memoriam,” contains biographical notes about deceased Bolesławiec residents. This year’s edition of the Yearbook also includes 12 reviews of publications written by Bolesławiec residents or concerning local topics, published in 2015.
The editorial team of the “Bolesławiec Yearbook 2015” consisted of Edmund Maliński, Anna Bober-Tubaj, Grzegorz Matoryn, Maria Adydan, Agata Bojanowska, Zygmunt Brusiło, Antoni Dziechciarz, Agnieszka Gergont, Barbara Glinkowska, Lesław Kasprzycki, Rafał Kotlarski, Franciszek Kozdra, Olga Markiewicz, Danuta Maślicka, Bogdan Mazurkiewicz, Ewa Ołenicz-Bernacka, Zdzisława Pachom, Jan Paździora, Anna Puk, Krzysztof Rajczakowski, Stanisław Ratajski, Zbigniew Razik, Barbara Rejwerska, Maria Julita Satoła, Michał Sibilski, Barbara Smoleńska, Wojciech Sobiech, Maria Sobolska, Grzegorz Strauchold, Maria Szpak, Eugenia Alina Wolska, Bartosz Woźniewski, Magdalena Zientara, Stanisława Zięcik and Katarzyna Żak. The publication’s academic reviewer is Prof. Grzegorz Strauchold.
The publication, issued by the Museum of Ceramics, was financed by the Municipality of Bolesławiec and the Ziemia Bolesławiecka Association. The “Bolesławiec Yearbook 2015” can be purchased at both departments of the Museum of Ceramics. It will soon also be available at the Tourist and Cultural Information Point and in Bolesławiec bookstores.
