Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska, director of the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre, said during the May session of the Bolesławiec City Council that residents of Bolesławiec had asked BOK-MCC to organise a disco polo gala. Their wish came true. The City Days concluded with performances by Ivan Komarenko and the BOYS group.
Before the pop-and-disco-polo evening began, however, Bolesławiec’s Obstawa Prezydenta gave the audience a highly energetic performance, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The group played, among other songs, the immortal “Zadowolić Zośkę” and the Rolling Stones cover “Miss You”.
Ivan Komarenko gave a good concert. Of course, the singer’s biggest hit was not missing. Hundreds of voices sang “Jej czarne oczy” along with Ivan; the audience heard the song twice!
BOYS got Bolesławiec dancing. Hits such as “Biba” and “Kochana, uwierz mi” were part of the show. There was even a disco-polo version of the song “Hej, sokoły”. How did you like it?
