The head of the District Family Support Centre Justyna Ziółkowska thanked the families for their effort, dedication and heart put into carrying out this role. The foster families had an opportunity to share their experiences and joy, as well as the difficulties and worries they face every day. Approximately 180 people took part in the gathering (foster families with the children in their care, their family members and invited guests). The picnic was organized by the District Family Support Centre in Bolesławiec with the support of the District Office and numerous sponsors.

The picnic was full of numerous attractions. This year, children from the Vocal Studio of Barbara Lendzian added splendour to the event with their presence; flamenco and belly dancing were presented by girls from the “Tierra Flamenca” School of Oriental Dance and Flamenco under the direction of choreographer and dance instructor Elżbieta Eisenblaetter.

Inflatable castles and slides provided by Tomasz Lech and attractions prepared by Grzegorz Szuter were a major attraction for the children attending this year’s picnic. An Art Corner was also organized, where children could paint bisque, decorate bags and have their faces painted.

The picnic featured games, activities and competitions for children and adults. Thanks to the commitment and generosity of the sponsors, competition participants received attractive prizes and gifts. All picnic participants were treated to military pea soup, grilled delicacies, sweets and homemade cakes prepared by the foster families.

One of the main highlights of this year’s picnic was the announcement of the results of the art competition entitled “My Story about a Foster Family”, announced for children from foster families. The competition was judged in two age categories. Results:
