Pupils from grades 2–6 at the local Primary School presented an educational play containing valuable advice and warnings on how not to become victims of scammers. The group is supervised by Joanna Kolasa.
After the performance, police officers from the Prevention Department made the meeting’s participants aware of the dangers faced by older people and discussed the methods used by scammers (pretending to be a grandchild, a police officer or a representative of an institution).
The participants also received educational leaflets and reflective items.
The importance of such initiatives is demonstrated by the fact that on Wednesday, June 8, a 78-year-old woman from Bolesławiec handed over PLN 20,000 to scammers.
