On June 7, at around 10 p.m., police officers from Szklarska Poręba received information that one of the hunters had probably illegally shot a roe deer on his property. The officers who went to check the report found the man gutting the animal.
As they established, the 76-year-old lured roe deer onto his property with food and then shot one of them. According to preliminary findings, he intended to process the roe deer into meat and sell it.
The elderly man now faces up to one year in prison.
