BKS players and fans waited 203 minutes for the team to score a goal in the spring round. Bolesławiec’s side ended a run of two consecutive defeats and won Saturday’s match by defeating Sparta Ziębice, who are fighting to avoid relegation. In the 7th minute, Paweł Rissmann had an opportunity to score. Marcin Potyszka played the ball to him from the left, but a BKS defender got to the striker first. In the 21st minute, Andrzej Krasoń struck dangerously at the BKS goal. Fortunately, the shot was just wide. In the 23rd minute, the first goal of the match was scored. Paweł Rissman passed to Tomasz Jasiński, who hit the ball awkwardly, but following an uncertain intervention by the goalkeeper, Marcin Potyszka directed the ball into the net.

It was the player’s first goal in the colors of BKS Bolesławiec. Leading 1:0, BKS attacked more boldly, although our players’ performance left much to be desired: disjointed moves, inaccurate passes and problems building attacks. In the 30th minute, BKS could already have been 2:0 up, but Rissmann’s shot was blocked by the visitors’ defenders. In the 42nd minute, the visitors launched a counterattack. A ball played over our defenders reached Tomasz Starczynowski, who, one-on-one with Sebastian Łokaj, equalized.

Bolesławiec’s side played better in the second half, although powerful shots at the visitors’ goal were still lacking. In the 54th minute, Marcin Szaja shot straight into Krzysztof Zając’s hands. In the 58th minute, Marcin Potyszka found himself one-on-one with Sparta’s goalkeeper. His shot flew high over the visitors’ crossbar. In the 62nd minute, following a corner taken by Tomasz Jasiński, the ball reached Łukasz Rudyk, making it 2:1 to BKS.

After retaking the lead, Bolesławiec’s side “unblocked themselves,” and their attacks began to come together. Our players clearly dominated, keeping the visitors in their own half. In the 65th minute, following a Rissman–Rudyk move, the latter set the final score at 3:1. Three minutes later, Marcin Potyszka produced a fine shot, but the visiting goalkeeper managed to tip the ball out for a corner. Bolesławiec’s side threatened Sparta’s goal several more times, but the score did not change. BKS defeated Sparta Ziębice 3:1.
