The distinguished jury (comprising Professor Stanisław Krawczyński, chair, and members: Professor Krzysztof Szydzisz, Professor Elżbieta Wtorkowska, Professor Dariusz Dyczewski, Professor Benedykt Błoński, Professor Marek Gandecki and Agnieszka Justyna Szumiło, MA) heard the nine choirs qualified to participate. Here are the laureates:
- The Gold Diploma, the Grand Prix for the best choir of the Legnica Cantat Tournament, the Jerzy Liban Ruby Lute from Legnica (a traveling award), a cash prize of PLN 10,000, and participation in next year’s edition of the Tournament as a special guest went to the Academic Choir of Warsaw University of Technology, conducted by Dariusz Zimnicki. In accordance with the regulations, after winning the Ruby Lute for the third time, the choir takes permanent ownership of it. The conductor received a special award: an invitation to serve on the jury of the next edition of the National Legnica Cantat Tournament.
- The Gold Diploma – first place – the Henryk Karliński Award and a cash prize of PLN 5,000 went to the Cantabile Girls’ Choir from Olsztyn, conducted by Agata Wilińska.
- The Gold Diploma – second place – the Award of the Mayor of Legnica and a cash prize of PLN 3,000 were won by the Choir of the Maritime University in Szczecin, conducted by Sylwia Fabiańczyk-Makuch.
- The Gold Diploma – third place – the Award of the Director of the Legnica Cultural Centre and a cash prize of PLN 2,000 went to the Skowronki Girls’ Choir from Poznań, conducted by Alicja Szeluga.
The Gold Diploma was awarded to the Academic Choir of Gdańsk University of Technology, conducted by Mariusz Mroz. Silver Diplomas went to: the Rybnicki Chór Kameralny Autograph, conducted by Joanna Glenc; the Axion Chamber Choir from Legnica, conducted by Jarosław Lewkow; the Lege Artis Chamber Choir from Kraków, conducted by Agnieszka Trela-Jochymek; and the Oktofonia Vocal Ensemble from Kraków, conducted by Maciej Koczur.
The award of the Polish Association of Choirs and Orchestras Main Board in Warsaw for the best performance of a work by a Polish composer went to the Choir of the Maritime University in Szczecin, conducted by Sylwia Fabiańczuk-Makuch, for Piotr Jańczak’s work “Ave Maris Stella”.
