The room was decorated with reading slogans and posters illustrating stories from Joanna Papuzińska’s book “Our Mother the Enchantress”. The invited guests—Deputy Mayor Kornel Filipowicz, Jacek Dudyński, head of CIK “Orzeł”, and Irena Sikora-Kołodyńska, headmistress of MZS No. 3—took part in the activity. The guests acted as readers and read the children stories about a conceited giant and the moon that broke off one of its horns.

Divided into groups, the children completed tasks on worksheets, sang a song, played at rescuing the giant and collecting lettuce for the dinosaur. Everyone, including the parents present at the event, had a great time. The classes collected points: flowers for vases. We ended the event with a group photograph. The guests and classes received commemorative thank-you notes and certificates. The campaign was intended to encourage children to read, promote reading, and show how interesting and entertaining a book can be.
