The athletes coached by Tomasz Zabawa competed in various age categories. The competition was held in a 50-metre outdoor pool. Despite the poor weather conditions, many personal bests were achieved. Maciej Kozik won gold in the under-10 category in the 50-metre freestyle, while Kamil Wróblewski won bronze in the 100-metre freestyle.

On 17–18 May, just two days after returning from the competition in Austria, the 10–11-year-old Team Swimming All-Around Competition was held in Nowa Ruda. Despite being slightly tired, the Harpun Osiecznica Swimming Club team fought bravely for the best possible results. Among the 17 clubs were large, established teams such as WKS Śląsk Wrocław, AZS-AWF Wrocław and MKS Juvenia Wrocław.

Harpun's athletes competed in individual events and relays, in which they won medals twice. Our representatives were Katarzyna Abramowicz, Nina Maksymowicz, Nadia Maksymowicz and Maja Oleś. The girls won silver in the 4 x 50-metre medley relay and bronze in the 4 x 50-metre freestyle relay.

Individual events:

  • Nina Maksymowicz – gold in the 200 m freestyle, fourth in the 50 m butterfly, fourth in the 200 m individual medley
  • Katarzyna Abramowicz – bronze in the 50 m butterfly, fourth in the 100 m freestyle, fourth in the 100 m backstroke
  • Nadia Maksymowicz – bronze in the 100 m backstroke, fifth in the 200 m freestyle
  • Julia Barszczewska – bronze in the 100 m individual medley, fourth in the 50 m backstroke, fifth in the 50 m breaststroke
  • Maciej Kozik – gold in the 50 m breaststroke, silver in the 50 m backstroke and silver in the 50 m freestyle.

The athletes owe their excellent results both to their hard work and to the tremendous work and commitment of coach Tomasz Zabawa.
