Students competed in three age groups: third-grade primary school students, fourth- to sixth-grade primary school students, and lower-secondary school students. A total of 644 students from 63 schools in Bolesławiec County took part in the school-level qualifiers.

The theme of the dictation for third-grade primary school students was the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. A total of 63 students took part in the district stage. The winners were:

The theme of the Spelling Tournament for fourth- to sixth-grade students was the poetry of Julian Tuwim. A total of 62 students took part in the district stage. The winners were:

The Spelling Tournament for lower-secondary school students was entitled “In the Circle of the Poetry of Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński.” A total of 47 students took part in the district stage. The winners were:

  • Marika Zdunek, Municipal Lower-Secondary School No. 2 in Bolesławiec – 2nd place

  • Dominika Perdon, Municipal Lower-Secondary School No. 1 in Bolesławiec – 3rd place
  • Katarzyna Rozmus, Municipal Lower-Secondary School No. 2 in Bolesławiec – 3rd place

All winners of the Spelling Tournament will receive prizes during a gala ceremony to be held on June 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the Old Theatre. The author of all the dictations was Krystyna Raszka, a teacher, consultant and methodological adviser for the Polish language. We warmly congratulate all the tournament winners.
