The participants and audience of the showcase were welcomed on behalf of the city authorities by Kornel Filipowicz, Deputy Mayor. This was followed by 12 performances featuring soloists, duets and groups ranging from several to several dozen preschoolers. The presentations each had their own individual character, with appropriate costumes, props, choreography and additional decorations referring to the songs being performed. Children from Municipal Public Preschools Nos. 1, 2, 3, 3 – Branch, 4, 5, 6 and 7 with integration classes performed, as did children from Zielona Nibylandia Preschool, Jacek i Agatka Non-Public Preschool, Bajka Non-Public Preschool and Oxpress Private Preschool. The children performed songs including “Let It Go,” “The Smurf World,” “A Fly in a Flyplane,” “The Doll Made of Saxon Porcelain” and others.
After listening to the songs, the Jury, consisting of Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska, Director of the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre, Beata Sulska, Head of the Social Affairs Department of Bolesławiec City Hall, and Łukasz Jaźwiec, Chair of the Education and Sports Committee, went to deliberate. Meanwhile, three representatives from each preschool presented a joint dance routine on stage. The children performed a routine prepared during music-and-movement classes as part of the “Meetings with the Green Half-Note” project.
Ultimately, the Jury decided to award first place ex aequo to all the performers. Each group taking part in the showcase received a diploma, a commemorative statuette, a teddy bear and sweets.
The performances were warmly received by the audience, most of whom were the performers’ classmates and their caregivers and parents.
The “Meeting with the Green Half-Note” project, implemented by BOK-MCC, was aimed at the oldest groups from Bolesławiec preschools. As part of the programme, music-and-movement classes for children were held at the “Orzeł” Cultural Integration Centre from mid-February. A total of 425 children from 13 preschools—21 groups—participated. Each group took part in two meetings involving singing and dancing activities. The BOK-MCC instructors Barbara Lendzian and Agnieszka Radwańska led the singing and dancing classes.
