On 11 May, officers from the Zgorzelec traffic police conducted checks throughout Zgorzelec County. During the operation, they detained 47 drivers who had exceeded the speed limit.
Unfortunately, there was also a driver who exceeded the speed limit in a built-up area by more than 50 km/h. Officers from the Zgorzelec traffic police detained the offender in Stary Węgliniec. Even more outrageously, he was driving a truck. In this situation, the officers could make only one decision. The driver lost his driving licence and received a PLN 500 fine and 10 penalty points.
“We appeal to drivers to exercise particular caution and adjust their speed to the conditions on the road,” say officers from Zgorzelec.
