The incident occurred on 5 May at the junction of Wodna, Gimnazjalna and Marysieńki Sobieskiej streets. The officers who arrived at the scene decided to have the vehicle towed. However, the towing did not take place because the driver came to the parked vehicle. He was surprised by the intervention and stated that he had done nothing of the sort.
The officers informed the 63-year-old man which offences he had committed and issued him a fine. The man refused to accept the fine, so the municipal guards took photographic documentation of the scene and informed the driver that the case would be referred to court.
