Excellent news reached us from Mikołów (Silesian Voivodeship), where the BTS Elektros Bolesławiec volleyball players are taking part in the semifinal tournament for promotion to the second division. After yesterday’s 3–0 victory over SPS Głogówek, BTS dispatched another opponent. This time, “Elektryczni” faced TS Wena Kostrzyn nad Odrą.
Our volleyball players began with a confident 25–18 win in the first set. In the second set, BTS’s opponents also had no say in the matter, losing 25–10. In the third set, the players from Kostrzyn took control and won it 25–20. That defeat spurred our team on. In the fourth set, the Bolesławiec players gave their opponents a harsh volleyball lesson, winning 25–10 and the entire match 3–1. Congratulations!
After the match, the club’s president — Jacek Łuczkowski— did not hide his joy and positive emotions:
We defeated another opponent, and we are three matches away from the second division. With today’s win, we secured our place in the final. Tomorrow we play Mikołów, the hosts, and are essentially fighting over whether we advance to the final in first or second place. We are already in the final, where we will have three more opponents. We just do not yet know where we will travel for the final. Everything will become clear on Sunday. We are at the finish line.
