Dawid Meier became interested in photography at the age of fifteen, and since then he has systematically expanded his skills in this field. He independently honed his photographic craft.
He is currently in his final year of secondary school and, thanks to his talent, perseverance and hard work, has secured his future. His photographs were recognised by the University of South Wales, so immediately after passing his final exams he will begin studying documentary photography in Wales.
In this way, he will fulfil his childhood dreams of living abroad and of choosing self-fulfilment instead of being forced to study “something that will give me a secure income...” The 19-year-old will soon try life abroad in order to refine his own perception of the world.
In the future, Dawid Meier will be a citizen of the world, forever travelling in search of artistic expression and creating moments that will remain in people’s memories.
The photographs to be presented at the exhibition were created as part of a school project celebrating the school’s 70th anniversary. The aim of the project was to show the passions pursued by teachers in their free time, giving us the opportunity to get to know them anew, without their school mask.
The exhibition is open until 30 June 2016.
