The exercises held on the A4 motorway (near the village of Jędrzychowice) were one element of preparations to secure the NATO Summit and World Youth Day. The Police, Border Guard, State Fire Service and Military Police worked together during the operations. German police officers also took part.
The exercises were attended by officers from the Lower Silesian–Saxon Nysa group, who have been combating cross-border crime for many years. Representatives of the customs service, the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, the Road Transport Inspection and emergency medical responders from the ambulance service were also present.
The demonstration of the Polish services’ capabilities was attended by the Lower Silesian Voivode, Paweł Hreniak. The Lower Silesian police were represented by the Provincial Police Commander in Wrocław, Inspector Arkadiusz Golanowski.
