Szymon Jankowski from Zespół Szkół Zawodowych in Kurzętnik took third place.

The Great Media Education Tournament is intended for students from all upper-secondary schools. The organizers want students to develop their interests in the spirit of competition, while their mentors gain an opportunity for creative work with young people.

The competition is not a test of theoretical knowledge of the media, but an examination of practical knowledge and skills. The aim of the Great Media Education Tournament is to promote media and information literacy and to shape conscious users of new media. Users who not only receive information but are also able to view it critically. They are also characterized by the ability to consciously create their image and relationships online, as well as an understanding of the language of the media. They can also use the media creatively—create messages using modern tools, process them and present the results of their work. They follow ethical standards when using the media and know how to protect their own safety online. They also recognize and understand the legal and economic aspects of how the media operate.
