Officers from the Criminal Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra identified and detained a 48-year-old woman suspected of causing the death of her former partner.

The incident occurred on April 15 in one of the apartments in Jelenia Góra. An argument broke out between the woman and her 32-year-old former partner, during which she stabbed him in the chest with a knife. The man died. After the incident, the woman left the apartment with her current boyfriend.

On April 22, at around 9:30 p.m., the sister of the 32-year-old man called the duty officer at the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra. She was concerned because she had been unable to contact him.

A patrol went to the scene. Since no one opened the door, the officers had to force it open. In the apartment, they found the body of the 32-year-old man, which was secured for a post-mortem examination. It turned out that he had been murdered: he died from a stab wound to the chest.

Investigative and operational activities led to the identification and detention of a woman suspected of the crime. The suspect has already been placed in temporary custody for three months. She could face life imprisonment.
