In addition to patrolling recreational areas, urban greenery and places where young people and children gather, the officers will carry out various inspection and prevention campaigns and activities, responding to all cases of law violations, and talk to residents about local problems.
The Spring Clean-up campaign is currently under way. As part of it, nearly 600 properties have been inspected. All identified defects are reported to the owners on an ongoing basis. The officers are also conducting preventive activities aimed at combating offences that are socially troublesome for residents, namely drinking alcohol in public places, failing to take proper precautions when keeping animals, littering, and disturbing public order and peace.
Bicycle patrols also involve educational and preventive activities for the youngest residents of our city. These are outdoor lessons held in a park or in summer recreation areas, intended to teach the principles of safe road use, proper conduct and care of animals, as well as general safety rules in everyday life.
