A man reminded us that in December last year, the construction site for the project “Reconstruction of voivodeship road No. 297, approximately km 74+300–90+300, with elements of expansion as a connection between Lower Silesian cities, Bolesławiec–Lwówek Śląski” was handed over (details on the website of the Lower Silesian Roads and Railways Service).

And he added:

Please provide information on the stage of implementation of the project. As a regular user of DW-297, I am keenly interested in the rapid progress of the works, especially since the current condition of this road negatively affects both the safety of its users and the durability of the vehicles travelling on it.

The reconstruction of voivodeship road No. 297, approximately km 74+300–90+300, with elements of expansion as a connection between Lower Silesian cities, Bolesławiec–Lwówek Śląski, is being carried out under a design-and-build formula. Design work is currently under way in the following areas:

  • roadworks (strengthening the road structure, reconstruction of bus bays, pedestrian routes and drainage)
  • bridge works (reconstruction and construction of new culverts, reconstruction and construction of bridge structures). The contractor is awaiting approvals from the heritage conservator
  • temporary traffic organization
  • greenery
  • elimination of conflicts
  • preparation of an application concerning environmental conditions.

The works are scheduled for completion in May 2018. The investment will cost approximately PLN 30.5 million.
