The medal and diploma ceremony took place on Monday, April 18, at the Orzeł Cultural Integration Center. The first to speak was the president of the Bolesławiec Volleyball Association Jacek Łuczkowski:
We know, dear friends, why we have gathered here today. Our flagship team – BTS Elektros Bolesławiec – won the bronze medal in the third division. If someone were writing a master's or doctoral thesis and came to us, they would say that this should not have succeeded at all, considering the economic factors. But besides money, there are other things too: love of volleyball, passion, dedication, selflessness, volunteering, determination and friendship. And I think all of this worked wonderfully at our club.
He added: “I will be very surprised if this team does not reach the final.”
The silver medals were presented to our volleyball players by Ryszard Dietrich, chairman of the Games and Discipline Department of the Lower Silesian Volleyball Association. The ceremony was enhanced by a performance from the Canon group from BOK-MCC.
As we read on the BTS Elektros Bolesławiec Facebook profile:
The season is far from over for our volleyball players! Although the third-division competition has ended for the “Elektrics,” the fight for promotion to the second division begins on April 29 in the play-offs.
