The Municipal Public Library in Bolesławiec invites you to a meeting with Jarosław Kret, the author of travel books, a photojournalist and a popular television journalist. It will take place on Thursday, April 21 at the Orzeł Cultural Integration Centre on Chopina Street. It begins at 6:00 p.m.. Admission is free.

Widely known as a weather presenter, Jarosław Kret has already written and published more than a dozen travel books.
He is an Egyptologist by training; during his studies, he spent a year on a scholarship in Cairo. He then turned to African studies, intercultural relations and Mediterranean archaeology. In total, he studied for 12 years.
He has worked with the media since 1992. He hosted his own programmes, Klub Podróżników and Kino Klubu Podróżników, at the Warsaw Television Centre. He co-created the Polish edition of “National Geographic” magazine. He has been a member of The Explorers Club since 1999.
He hosted the travel programme Planeta według Kreta, broadcast on TVP Info. Since 2002, he has presented the weather forecast on TVP.
He loves travelling and has visited many countries in different regions of the world. His favourite destinations, to which he returns most often, are Egypt, India, the Holy Land and Madagascar.
