The Polish Declaration on Preventing Domestic Violence states:
EVERY PERSON
has the right to live in a family environment free from violence, which violates personal rights and interests.A PERSON
experiencing violence cannot be blamed for it.CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
have the right to grow up in a safe environment free from violence, and it is the duty of adults to ensure this.EVERY PERSON
experiencing violence has the right to legal, social, psychological and medical assistance, without violating their personal dignity.
People affected by violence can use specialist counselling: psychological, legal and social. Powiatowe Centrum Pomocy w Rodzinie regularly updates an information guide on forms of assistance and support for people affected by domestic violence.
