One of the items on the agenda of the City Council’s March session was a report on public order and safety in 2015. It was presented, among others, by the head of the Bolesławiec police, Inspector Henryk Stefanko. After the county police chief’s report, Dariusz Filistyński, chair of the Forum councillors’ club, took the floor and asked “about ensuring night-time quiet and public order near the venues on the well-known streets [podkreślenie – „ii”], namely Gdańska, 10 Marca and Komuny Paryskiej”.
“I have spoken with residents,” the councillor continued. “And once again, on behalf of all residents, I ask that special attention be paid to these venues. It is winter now, so things have quietened down a little, but spring is approaching. And it will start again. Mr Mayor [Piotra Romana nie było na marcowym posiedzeniu Rady – przyp. „ii”] said at one of the sessions that he would support us on this issue, because it is quite a significant problem.
“Whenever such a breach of the peace or public order occurs, we will intervene,” Inspector H. Stefanko replied.
He added: “If, in the residents’ opinion, the number of public-order violations exceeds acceptable limits, I think it would be possible, for example, to ask the mayor to revoke the alcohol sales licence. Then the situation should calm down.
Czy z powodu naruszania porządku publicznego przez klientów powinno się lokalom odbierać koncesję na alkohol?
We will return to this subject.
