The exhibition was organised as part of cross-border cooperation between Poland and Saxony. The aim of the exhibition in Markersdorf is to promote the Bolesławiec cultural initiative—the International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposia—beyond Poland’s borders. Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury – Międzynarodowe Centrum Ceramiki seeks to ensure that Bolesławiec is associated with ceramic art, which represents a significant asset of our region. For more than half a century, a ceramic and sculpture symposium has been held in Bolesławiec every year. Through cooperation with cultural institutions in the border region, we wish to develop cultural dialogue, which we hope will contribute to expanding knowledge of the cultural achievements of Bolesławiec.
Last year, we presented the creative work of artists participating in the MPCRZ in Pirna and Panschwitz – Kuckau. In our view, these are good practices that have a positive impact on the development of cross-border cooperation between Poland and Saxony.
The exhibition will be open until 25 September 2016.
