By joining the ensemble, you give yourself the chance to experience an adventure with dance and folk songs in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. You will also have the opportunity to perform in Poland and abroad. You do not need any experience! We are here to teach you a great deal. The only things you need to bring in return are enthusiasm and a sense of rhythm!
The “Bolesławiec” Song and Dance Ensemble meets three times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 4:00 p.m. at BOK-MCC. Classes are led by instructors: Agnieszka Radwańska – the ensemble’s choreographer, and Barbara Lendzian – singing instructor.
During classes, we learn national, regional and South Slavic dances. During vocal rehearsals, we learn folk songs. The meetings are accompanied by the “Bolesławiec” Song and Dance Ensemble Band, which provides live accompaniment during rehearsals and concerts.
An important aim of our activities is to prevent Polish dances and folk songs from being forgotten by bringing the traditions and customs of our ancestors closer to people.
