The incident took place on Bankowa Street in Jelenia Góra. A municipal monitoring operator informed the guards that a vehicle without authorization had been parked in a disabled parking space.

It turned out that the driver was inside. When the guard asked him to show his authorization, the man replied that he did not have one, but if a disabled person arrived, he would drive away from the space. The 55-year-old was informed that this was a nonsensical explanation, since no person with a disability would drive up after seeing that the space was already occupied. However, the man had no intention of leaving. What is more, he began shouting aggressively and profanely that he was occupying only half of the space and that someone could park next to him.

A disabled woman approached the municipal guards who were intervening and informed them that, after seeing the occupied space, she had been forced to park several hundred metres away.

The 55-year-old will face court proceedings for the offence and his conduct toward the guards.
