This year, the Lower Silesian Keys to Success were awarded on Saturday, June 19, in Lubiąż. It was the eighth edition of the competition. The distinction is awarded by the Association for the Promotion of Lower Silesia. Every year, the nominees include outstanding individuals, the best-managed municipalities, leading companies, and outstanding cultural and artistic institutions from Lower Silesia.

The AMMA Production, Trade and Services Company from Kruszyn near Bolesławiec became a winner in the category “Best Lower Silesian manufacturing company employing up to 50 people.” The International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium received a distinction in the category “Best cultural institution, cultural or educational initiative.”

AMMA is a company that has been producing PVC windows and doors for eight years. It is a modern, environmentally friendly enterprise. It has won numerous awards, including the title of Best Entrepreneur of 2003 in the Bolesławiec region. The company was also nominated for the “INNOVATION 2003” Trilateral Innovation Award of the Neisse-Nisa-Nysa Euroregion in the categories “Best Cross-Border Cooperation” and “Best Innovation.” It was nominated three times for the Lower Silesian Key to Success award, for 2000, 2001 and 2003. AMMA is known for its work for the local community.

This year, the International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its activity. It is one of the few initiatives of its kind in Poland. The symposium takes place in August on the premises of ceramic plants. Ceramic artists from various countries in Europe and around the world participate in it. These meetings create an opportunity to nurture ceramic and sculptural traditions found throughout the world. The symposium is accompanied by exhibition openings, author meetings and happenings.
