On Wednesday (9 March), police questioned the man who attacked a child last week. His health had previously prevented him from being questioned. The 35-year-old was questioned at a psychiatric hospital. He claims that he does not remember the entire incident.
The man was charged with exposing the boy to a direct risk of loss of life or serious bodily harm. The attacker faces up to three years in prison. Police findings indicate that the man had previously received psychiatric treatment. It is also known that he is not related to the child he attacked. The 35-year-old remains in hospital for now.
Let us remind you:
The incident occurred on 4 March, before 8:00 a.m., on Bankowa Street in Bolesławiec. The 35-year-old man—out of nowhere—put his arm around the waist of a 7-year-old boy who was walking to school with his mother. The attacker held the child so tightly around the stomach that the boy vomited. Fortunately, two passers-by helped the 7-year-old free himself. A police patrol detained the aggressor. The 35-year-old was taken to the secure ward of the psychiatric hospital in Bolesławiec.
