On Saturday, March 5, BTS Elektros Bolesławiec faced Gwardia Wrocław on their home court. “Elektryczni” swiftly defeated the Wrocław side 3–0 (25–11, 25–17, 25–17).
– Our team deserves praise – says “ii” Jacek Łuczkowski, head of the Bolesławiec Volleyball Association. – They did not let up or underestimate their opponents; they showed great professionalism. They did their job, and three points have been added.
Importantly, in this round, the team from Żarów defeated the side from Ząbkowice Śląskie 3–2 away from home, which allowed BTS Elektros to strengthen its position as league runner-up even further. (It currently has a five-point lead over both of the aforementioned teams and trails the leaders, Siatkarz Bierutów, by five points. The Bolesławiec side will face them at home on Saturday, March 12). – This match promises to be extremely interesting. A win over the leaders would bring BTS Elektros much closer to its goal: the promotion playoffs for the second league – explains J. Łuczkowski.
He adds: – We invite everyone to this match. It will be a volleyball celebration. No one should miss it! BTS Elektros is the only team in the third league that has not lost a single home match this season. We would like it to stay that way.
