He Took His Anger Out on a Roller Shutter. He Faces Up to 5 Years in Prison

Police officers from the Criminal Department of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra detained a 34-year-old man suspected of damaging property.

The incident occurred on February 20 this year, at around 1 p.m., on Różyckiego Street in Jelenia Góra. As the man was walking past one of the shops, he damaged the roller shutter on the door (he tried to tear it out).

The owner estimated the losses at nearly PLN 700. The city surveillance camera recorded the vandal’s actions. After analyzing the footage, officers recognized the perpetrator.

The man was detained. He explained that he had destroyed the roller shutter out of anger. He now faces up to 5 years in prison.
