If you already know when you are planning to travel, consider making an early booking – it will allow you to save even more!
An early booking is a major advantage for a hotel because it can be sure that the rooms in question will be occupied – sometimes several weeks or even months in advance. As a result, accommodation providers prepare special promotions for customers, thanks to which booking early involves lower costs. They are worth considering, but you should also remember about their limitations and conditions.
How much can you save?
Usually, the savings are not particularly spectacular, but if every zloty matters to you, they are worth considering. Discounts for early bookings are generally around 10–20% of the accommodation price, but they depend on the hotel standard as well as the selected room and amenities.
For example, at the Best Western Felix in Warsaw, a standard single room costs 170 zlotys per night, while in a last-minute promotion the price drops to 136 zlotys per night. Therefore, a customer can save 20% of the standard price by making a booking up to 3 days before arrival.
How can you take advantage of the promotion?
These types of promotions are offered primarily on hotel websites, the hotel blog or, often, through various websites that allow bookings to be made online. This is when you can pay less, because most properties require customers to make an advance payment – usually in the form of a hold on a debit or credit card, although sometimes a regular bank transfer can also be made.
However, you should remember that cancelling accommodation or making changes usually means that the booking fee will not be refunded. Therefore, it is worth making such a booking only when you are completely certain about the travel dates and the hotel you have chosen. In addition, check any further restrictions; for example, such offers do not always include breakfast or parking fees, which will have to be paid separately.
