The summer workshop focused on working with textiles, addressing sewing and painting. The winning work was inspired by Wassily Kandinsky's 1913 abstract painting “Composition VI.” This is another medal-winning participant in this prestigious competition prepared by an instructor from the Bolesławiec Cultural Center – International Ceramics Center. Works by participants in BOK-MCC classes were also selected for the exhibition: Ida Sałek (aged 13), Klaudia Stupiec (aged 9), Magda Petelicka (aged 9), and Patrycja Pokładek (aged 15). Congratulations, and we wish you further success.

The organizer of SILEZIANS 2015 is the Free Association of Green Artists (WSZA). “Silezians 2015” is a collection of more than 170 works created by children and young people from around the world. The artists, aged 5 to 25, come from countries including England, Slovenia, Armenia, and Poland. The creators used various artistic techniques, but the works have one thing in common—they were made from different types of fibers.

This year's edition is the tenth. For the first time, young artists were to draw inspiration from the works of world-renowned artists. Across all editions of the project, more than five thousand artists from 14 countries have participated. More than 60 creators from Poland, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Ukraine, and the USA presented their works.
