The convicted man—34-year-old Marcin T. from Głogów—was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison. The indictment in the case was filed at the beginning of November 2015 by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Głogów.

The incident occurred on August 16, 2015. While in the premises, the perpetrator demanded that the victim hand over money. When she refused, he began pushing her and then pulled out a knife, holding it to the woman’s neck and injuring her.

T. stole just under PLN 4,000. He caused the victim a superficial incised wound on the right side of her neck, resulting in a health disorder lasting less than 7 days.

Marcin T. was charged with committing robbery using a dangerous weapon. He had previously been convicted. During the preparatory proceedings and the trial before the court, he was held in pre-trial detention. The above-mentioned man confessed to the crime and gave explanations, indicating where he had hidden the knife.

In addition to the unconditional prison sentence, the court also ordered Marcin T. to pay PLN 2,500 in compensation to the injured woman and to remedy the damage by returning the stolen money to the premises’ owner.

The judgment is not final.
