The incident occurred on Tuesday at around 4 p.m. A young man was vandalizing a bus shelter on Piłsudskiego Street in Legnica. He was kicking and smashing the shelter’s windows. A man who was nearby reacted. He detained the vandal and called a police patrol.
A moment later, four other men ran up to him and beat him all over his body, forcing him to release the person responsible for vandalizing the bus stop.
The assailants were detained. They were residents of Legnica aged between 16 and 36. The adults were placed in police custody and face up to three years in prison; the two minors were taken to a police juvenile detention facility.
The man who caught the vandal suffered no serious injuries. The person responsible for vandalizing the bus stop escaped.
