The artist is connected with Bolesławiec through his childhood and school years, which he always mentions, because it was at I LO, under the guidance of Jolanta Ajlikow-Czarnecka, that he discovered and developed his artistic interests. He later studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, in the sculpture department, graduating with distinction in 1980 from the studio of Professor Marian Konieczny. That year also marked the beginning of his teaching career as an instructor of art subjects at the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Rzeszów, where he still works.

Krzysztof Brzuzan works in sculpture, exploring a broad spectrum of subjects and materials and often combining different substances. His works include wooden sculptures, forms cast in bronze, architectural and monumental sculpture, numerous pieces intended for sacred interiors, as well as statuettes and plaques awarded at competitions and festivals. The artist himself actively participates in exhibitions of the Rzeszów artistic community and nationwide exhibitions, for which he has received numerous awards.

Alongside their form, the subject matter of the works is also intriguing. The protagonist is always a human being, sometimes an angel; saintly figures appear, as do ordinary people and the “Comedians”. The roots of this art should be sought in the finest achievements of classical sculpture and in the innovative approach proposed by the previous century.
