From February 22 to March 1, legal information will be provided to people harmed by crime at the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, at 1 Sądowa Street. Prosecutors will be on duty from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The police are also participating in the Crime Victims Assistance Programme. Officers inform injured parties of their rights. Police officers also observe the principle of avoiding direct contact between the injured party and the perpetrator. The “Blue Card” procedure is also used; under this procedure, victims of domestic violence are informed, in addition to receiving immediate assistance, about help provided by various institutions.

Victims of Crime Assistance Week is a nationwide campaign during which judges, judicial trainees, probation officers and prosecutors hold duty shifts at courts and prosecutor’s offices. People harmed by crime can obtain information about their rights. Experience from recent years indicates that the campaign is attracting increasing interest and that there is a need to continue it.
