On Saturday, the prestigious nationwide “Karakal Cup K-2” squash tournament was held in Wrocław. Five representatives of Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec Municipality took part in the tournament: Krystyna Szwajkowska, Jacek Szubert, Norbert Stolicki, Grzegorz Darul and Joanna Bruzdzińska (from Nowa). Krystyna Szwajkowska performed best among the competitors from Bolesławiec, taking second place. Among the men, Jacek Szubert performed best, finishing fifth.
In her first match, Krystyna Szwajkowska faced Agata Grygorowicz, representing Warsaw (the competitor is seventh in the nationwide ranking). The Bolesławiec resident won confidently, 2:0. Next, our competitor defeated Małgorzata Solecka from Warsaw, currently fourth in the nationwide ranking, 3:0. In the final, Krystyna Szwajkowska lost 0:3 to the country’s second-ranked player, also from Warsaw, Anna Jurkun.
