The film “Mury Mówią” is a documentary presenting the history of a mysterious place situated at the tripoint of Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic. The hill in Sieniawka has witnessed pre-war military barracks, a jet-engine factory, a labour camp and mysterious underground structures that make this place exceptionally intriguing. Are there really underground structures in Sieniawka? How many people lost their lives in the Kleinschönau camp? Where do the numerous entrances and openings lead? What do wartime and post-war witnesses say about this place? Are we dealing with a monument of world significance? These and other questions are explored in the film.

Szymon Wasylów’s film is an independent historical documentary produced with his own resources over the past six months. It is an attempt to address questions connected with the mysterious Nazi Zittwerke complex in present-day Sieniawka. Szymon Wasylów wanted the documentary to appeal to every viewer, including those who are not passionate about history.

The film was made in cooperation with the Łużycka Grupa Poszukiwawcza, which has been investigating the mysteries of the Zittwerke complex in Sieniawka for years. The group consists of history enthusiasts who devote their free time to gathering knowledge about this unique place. On behalf of the Search Group, Janusz Witek provided particular support during the production, spending several days on set showing the surrounding area and helping to explain the subject. Piotr Rodzik from Timbear filmed the beautiful timelapse sequences; besides Janusz Witek, Janek Ratajski also helped on set, while Sławomir Staszczuk proved indispensable for translating from German.

The film’s author, Szymon Wasylów, comes from Lwówek Śląski and has also been closely connected with Bolesławiec for several years, where he currently lives.
