At the request of ZDM, the work is being carried out by LPGK and Budromos. It has been underway since mid-January and will continue at least until the end of February. Its value amounts to several tens of thousands of złotys.
– In winter weather conditions, it happens that even large potholes in road surfaces appear overnight – says Andrzej Szymkowiak, director of ZDM. – We are gradually covering the entire city with the work. We want to protect drivers and their cars from hazards.
Depending on the outside temperature, potholes in roadways are filled with poured asphalt or an asphalt-mineral mixture. More than 15 tonnes of asphalt have been used in recent days.
Repair work has already been carried out, among others, on the following streets: Złotoryjska, Zachodnia, Nowodworska, al. Rzeczypospolitej, Sudecka, Koskowicka, Karkonoska, Łowicka, Sikorskiego, Fieldorfa, Wrocławska, Ofiar Ludobójstwa OUN-UPA, Pocztowa, Chojnowska, Jagiellońska, Działkowa and Senatorska, while on February 1 it was underway on Kunicka and Pątnowska.
