Female dog Hera suffered serious injuries to her hind leg and underwent surgery; the leg is currently healing. The dog suffered greatly. Hera’s owner told us how it happened.
“I went into the shop for a moment to top up my phone,” says Mrs. Halina. “When I came out, Hera was covered in blood. I didn’t know what had happened. Someone told me that I had to take the dog to a vet.”
Only after a while did witnesses tell the woman what had happened; she herself was in shock. When asked why he had harmed another animal, the perpetrator, who was also a dog owner, replied that he loved only his own pet.
The police were called to the scene. Hera’s owners reported the matter to the prosecutor’s office. The incident took place in front of the Lewiatan supermarket on Staszica Street.
