Michał Sołtan uses many instruments at once—including vocals, guitars, ukulele, keyboards, beatboxing and percussion—to create accompaniment all by himself.
Some call him a “One Man Band”, an “Orchestra Man”. They refer to him as the “Polish Ed
Sheeran” or the “Polish Jarle Bernhoft”. These are renowned artists from around the world who cultivate the idea of the
“One Man Band”. Sołtan fits this description perfectly.

Michał Sołtan was born in 1985 in Warsaw. He graduated from the Jazz Department of the F. Chopin State Music School in Warsaw. Music is his passion. He probably sang in his cradle, but he first picked up a guitar at the age of eleven. It was love at first sight. Today, he composes, sings and writes lyrics. They are mainly about love and the small joys of life, because these are precisely where he draws his greatest inspiration. He has extensive stage experience. He released two albums (“IQ” in 2011 and “MALLADA” in 2015) with his jazz band Imagination Quartet. With IQ, he performed concerts in China, Denmark, Germany and Poland. Sołtan is currently preparing to release a solo album featuring songs about love, values and more. The album will contain 11 original songs that he performs at concerts.

Additionally, on the same day, Michał Sołtan will lead a music workshop for participants of the BOK-MCC studios. The musician, composer, vocalist and instrumentalist will talk about his experiences, the freedom of creating music and the creative process. Together with the participants, he will compose a song—writing both the music and the lyrics. The workshop will be documented by the BOK-MCC Film Studio, run by Michał Szwed.
