On January 27, shortly after midnight, a resident of Lubin called the police dispatcher and reported that a young man was throwing stones at bus shelters. Two other people were reportedly with him. The police officer sent preventive service officers to the scene.
While searching for the vandal, police found that windows had been smashed in two bus shelters. Having a description of the perpetrator, they quickly detained him. They established that the reason the man had vandalized public property was his desire to show off to his friends. He told them that he did not care about the law or any regulations.
The 26-year-old resident of Chocianów, who had nearly 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his system when detained, now faces up to 5 years in prison.
