Police activities as part of the “Safe Winter Holidays 2016” campaign include, among other things, increased work by traffic officers, whose task is to ensure that travelers move efficiently and safely.

During this period, traffic police officers from Bolesławiec more frequently inspect buses and other vehicles intended for passenger transport. Officers check drivers’ sobriety and working hours, as well as whether they have the required documents. They also inspect the vehicle’s technical condition and mandatory equipment, and check the number of passengers being transported to ensure it complies with the entry in the vehicle registration certificate.

At the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, bus inspections can be requested by telephone from the Traffic Department (Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.):

  • secretariat – tel. 75 6496 223
  • head of the Traffic Department – tel. 75 6496 301
  • duty officer at the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec – tel. 75 6496 200 or 201.

In addition, the free Ministry of the Interior and Administration service “Safe Bus” allows us to check, among other things:

  • whether the bus has valid compulsory third-party liability insurance
  • whether it has a valid mandatory technical inspection
  • technical data, such as the permitted number of seats and the vehicle’s weight
  • whether the vehicle is currently listed in the database as deregistered, withdrawn from traffic or stolen.
