On Friday and Saturday, the spectacle will be presented as many as eight times. Performances on two stages every half hour: 17:00/17:30, 18:00/18:30, 19:00/19:30, 20:00/20:30. The shows “engage” the space of Słodowa Island, which means that spectators will move between the stages, guided by figures igniting one after another along a trail of fire installations.

During the ceremony, the guests will be accompanied by figures from the Anonymous Passers-by monument and Wrocław’s famous dwarfs, which will come to life for the duration of the spectacle. The performance is based on a presentation of two parallel worlds characteristic of Wrocław’s architecture.

Here is how Olga Pirecka from Legnica’s Avatar encourages people to come to Słodowa Island:

A visual serving of nourishment for the soul will combine, in its flavorful composition, a fabulous setting of ultraviolet lights, pyrotechnics and fiery faces of beings manipulating the blazing element. The sound of music will fill an unreal story presented through the dexterity of the human body in dance, acrobatics and the art of the new circus.

The director of “Burning Island” is Aneta Zwierzyńska, while the stages, besides Teatr Avatar, will feature well-known and highly regarded Polish fire-dance groups and circus soloists: Kamil Balmas “Cyrik”, Sebastian Frodyma, Azis Light (Dąbrowa Górnicza), Flagrantis (Trójmiasto), as well as acrobats and breakdance dancers: the acrobatic group Space Duo (Złotoryja), and the group Bessali (Legnica).
