The Perspektywy magazine has published its rankings of high schools and technical schools. Only one Bolesławiec school is included among the top 500 high schools: I LO im. W. Broniewskiego. Last year, the high school ranked 201st. In this year's ranking, it dropped 84 places to 285th (19th in the voivodeship).

There are three schools in the technical-school ranking. The Veterinary Technical School at ZSHiU im. J. Kochanowskiego ranks 192nd (15th in the voivodeship); Technical School No. 3 at ZSOiZ im. mjra H. Sucharskiego ranks 211th (19th in the voivodeship) (by profession: economics technician – 13th; hotel-management technician – 7th; tourist-service technician – 5th); and the Logistics Technical School at ZSHiU im. J. Kochanowskiego ranks 275th (21st in the voivodeship).

Wiesław Stefanik, director of the School Complex of Commerce and Services in Bolesławiec:

I am very happy. This is not the first year in which we have ranked highly in this ranking. In fact, last year we achieved the best result among county schools in vocational examinations. It is not as though we simply got lucky. Nevertheless, reaching the top 200 is a major challenge and achievement. We are proud of it. I also bow my head to the teachers for their hard work.

We have partnerships with universities, and the students attend lectures there. This positively stimulates them and awakens their desire to learn. Our school offers various activities and extracurricular classes. There is a good and warm atmosphere here, as confirmed by both parents and the students themselves.

This place in the ranking is primarily thanks to the parents, students and teachers.

Laura Słocka-Przydróżna, director of the School Complex of General and Vocational Education:

The joy is enormous. In terms of vocational-examination pass rates, we rank 36th in Poland, out of several hundred schools. It is an excellent result. But it is the result of the hard work of teachers and students; without it, we would not have achieved such success.

For many years, we have remained among the top ten in the voivodeship. Improving this result is very difficult, especially since competition in Lower Silesia is enormous. And each time, a different group of young people takes the examinations. But indeed, once again we are among Poland's absolute leaders in several professions: hotel-management technician and tourist-service technician. Economics technician has now joined them, ranking 13th in Poland. This is truly an extraordinary result. All the more so because all the schools at the top of this ranking have a 100% pass rate, so what matters above all here is the quality of education.

In the voivodeship, we ranked second in the hotel-management technician and economics technician professions, and first in the tourist-service technician profession. There is good reason to be pleased. Above all, congratulations to the students, teachers, parents and the governing authority [czyli Powiatu Bolesławieckiego – przyp. „ii”].
