This cross-country race will take place in Iwiny for the seventh time. One of the race’s main aims is to raise money for charity. – Until now, we supported WOŚP, but from this year we have decided to provide more direct support – say the organizers. – The choice was quite easy. Unanimously, we chose our younger colleague Piotrek Kołodziej. Piotrek is 20 years old and depends on the help of his loved ones and uses a wheelchair.
They add: – As for the race itself, do not let the name “little walk” fool you; it is somewhat humorous. The race is 5.6 km long, and the entire local field of leading runners – and not only local runners – across all age groups will line up at the start.
The event, which will begin at 11:00 a.m., will be held as part of the Biegowe Grand Prix Zagłębia Miedziowego (second stage). In addition, there will be a 1 km race for primary-school children and a 3 km race for lower-secondary-school students.
Registration for the main race is available via the registration form: https://feniks-timing.pl/index.php/vii-biegowe-grand-prix-zaglebia-miedziowego-bieg-2-iwiny-44/ or directly at the competition centre (Zespół Szkolno-Przedszkolny w Iwinach) on Saturday, January 9, 2016, between 9:00 and 10:30. Registration for the school categories is available only on the day of the competition.
